One of my maps has been published in the new Chivalry & Sorcery Essence tabletop RPG.
You can buy copies of the game in print and PDF form at DriveThruRPG rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product…, which I highly recommend - the rules are fast and fun.
Alternatively, the map itself is a standalone freebie, which you can download here: rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product…

A safari during a drought
Mrs Barwickian being Kenyan, we spend a reasonable amount of time in Mombasa. We rarely do touristy things, preferring to spend time with family and friends, so I was rather unprepared when we spent a day on safari in the Tsavo East reserve - the closest big reserve to our home - back in 2009. Back then I was stubbornly clinging to film cameras, but hadn't taken my SLR on that visit. I was armed instead with a borrowed compact digital camera that didn't allow me to do much more than point and click.
Kenya at that time was suffering from a fairly intense drought. It wasn't so bad along the coast, where we spend most of our time, but inland wa
A fresh render at last
It's been ages - nearly a year, I think - since I last sat down to render anything substantial. Poser Pro 2012 went away, PP2014 came, and then Reality 3. Now I see a bit of buzz about Octane.
When it came time to do a new render last week, I even found I had to spend a day putting my favourite scripts into PP2014 and get them running properly; I hadn't even bothered doing that since the release.
Heigh-ho. It's done now. My tools are as I want them.
Before real life intervened and my rendering time vanished in a puff of pixels, I was getting very involved in dissecting bagginsbill's skin shaders and other material room experimentation. The
Back in black
Wow, first time on DA in an age. Ironically, my last visit was to buy a 12-month premium membership.
So, I've cleared out the 37,500 messages by the simple process of deleting everything from groups. There's no way I could ever look at that many pieces of art.
I've been making a few bits of ink-sketch-style art and drawn a map for a client who publishes tabletop RPGs.
And I've been exploring some of the new features of PoserPro 2012, largely by sitting at Bagginsbill's virtual knee and nodding like I understand. And maybe a little bit has sunk in - I feel I do know something of how to set up a decent skin shader now check Skin Study to see
Who knows where the time goes?
Wow. Nearly a month since I last uploaded an image, and I'm not even working on anything worth uploading.
It's been one of those frustrating, fragmented, busy times when energy is low, time is tight and inspiration doesn't even get out of bed.
I hope it doesn't last much longer...
